Here are some useful starting hands for poker that you can use to increase your winning chances.

Pairs - It is good to have pairs of anything in your starting hand. Even 2s and 3s are good enough. Pairs can be the starting point for a full house (three of a kind and a pair) or they can lead to three or four of a kind.
